Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Swindon Borough Council, Childrens Assessment & Child Protection Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection
• Carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies
• Gathering information for the assessment and analysing the potential risk to any child or young person
• After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long Term Locality Teams
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
