Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, East Riding Council, Adults Support Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Adult social care procedures/ policy fully and ensures people who need care and support understand what information has been given to them
• Gives people confidence in the service provided, by ensuring they have acted on requests for help and advice timely and by keeping people informed of actions
• Informs supervisor/manager of support that would improve the outcomes for people who need care and support
• Provides advice and information on support available other than adult social care
• Awareness of balancing people’s need for care and support with value for Money
• Actively listens to what people have to say, questioning and clarifying to ensure understanding
• Takes in to account others views and adapts own thinking
• Communicates sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
• Is able to put people at ease and alter approach to suit others
• Aware of confidentiality and data protection issues
• Demonstrates genuine concern by being approachable and sensitive to the needs of others
• Can demonstrate outcome focussed practice with service users
• Able to plan and provide an effective 7 day provision within an acute hospital setting and a community setting within Directorate procedures
• 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 2 Month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
