Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Review Manager, Bedfordshire County Council, Childrens Conference & Review Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Provide consultancy and advice in line with legislation and best practice guidance to staff within Children’s Services and other agencies in relation to allegations against members of the children’s workforce
• Undertake initial evaluations of all allegations reported, and advise on future management of all concerns and allegations
• Chair Joint Evaluation Meetings in relation to allegations against staff where required
• Effectively chair child protection conferences and develop robust plans for children and young people which keep them safe, reduce risk and promote better outcomes
• Effectively identify and manage risk by producing co-ordinated outcome focused plans for children in need and those in need of protection and looked after thereby ensuring that children are safe and their outcomes improved
• Monitor thresholds for child protection conferences and make recommendations about when a conference is required. To influence the decision making and agree plans for child protection cases to be ‘stepped down’ to Child in Need
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to CRB and reference clearance
The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current CRB and be a car driver.
