Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Neath Port Talbot Council, Adult CMHT Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Motivated and enthusiastic agency Social Worker to join the Community Mental Health Team within the Neath and Port Talbot area
• Joining a well-established multi-disciplinary team, comprising of Social Workers, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist Therapist, Consultant Psychiatric and Community Wellbeing Officers
• Work closely with primary care, Police, Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services, voluntary and private agencies, service users & carers
• Expected to work within the legislative framework of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) and the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010, along with demonstrating an understanding of how to work in a strength-based, outcome focused way
• Undertaking Assessments, Reviews and Care Planning and need to have the enthusiasm to play an active role in delivering a high quality service to our service users
• Liaise with other professionals
• 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 Month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
