Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Blackpool Council, Supporting and Strengthening Families Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• As a social worker in Supporting and Strengthening Families teams you will have a keen interest in those children in need of help and protection
• Have the opportunity to work with those children subject to child protection procedures, complex child in need, PLO/Pre Proceedings and on the Edge of Care
• Have the opportunity to work intensively with families utilising a strength based approach to practice that is creative and innovative and enables families to develop resilience and sustainability
• Strive to improve outcomes and the lived experience of our children
• Quality of practice will be supported by regular supervision, excellent training opportunities and tools and resources readily available to assist in your day to day work

• Managing a varied and complex case load
• Ability to write concise,fit for purpose reports/court statements and ability to maintain up to date and accurate records
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
