Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Hull City Council, Childrens Fostering Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Complete fostering assessments of connected persons and some mainstream applicants
• May also be required to assist with viability assessments for connected persons
• Ability to deal with conflict across a range of issues and able to support others to identify solutions to problems
• Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children, young people and families
• Ability to influence, support and challenge across a range of contexts within and outside of the authority
• Ability to present complex, sensitive or contentious information to a range of audiences
• Experience of assessment and planning, initiating, monitoring, developing and providing outcomes-driven services in the Children’s Social Care arena
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
