Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Trafford Council, Children First Response Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:


• Provide an efficient and effective social work service within the First Response Team
• Undertaking child and family assessments and have significant experience of working with children and young people in care as a practitioner
• Have a thorough understanding of key legislation, regulations, guidance and frameworks
• Should also have experience of working with complex situations with a focus on problem solving
• Demonstrable knowledge, experience and skill in social work assessments
• Undertake detailed holistic assessment of children, young people and their families
• Ability to write clear and concise reports, to maintain case records and to fulfil administrative requirements is essential
• Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and problem solve on a daily basis
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week(flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
