Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, London Borough of Bromley Council, Adult Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Adult Assessment and Care Management Services
• Provide assessments under the Care Act 2014 and work with young people transitioning from Children’s services to Adult services, and beyond
• Provide early intervention to support adults and carers to prevent social admissions to hospital
• Visit adults where necessary and complete assessments and support plans to meet needs
• Alert the Senior where there are safeguarding concerns
• You will need to be able to work according to the relevant legislation. You will be supporting Older People in need of support, plus younger adults over the age of 18 with physical disabilities or adults with sensory impairment as well as their carers. You will need to be able to work in ways that ensure risks are appropriately managed. In addition to the ability to assess and review adults in receipt of care and support and manage and facilitate safeguarding enquiries, you will need to have excellent report writing and computer skills. Record keeping is a vital and necessary part of the job
• You will need to be flexible, committed, and hard working with a willingness to work to quality standards. You will be working within a multidisciplinary framework and need to have good communication and negotiating skills. You will be working with partner agencies and will be required to develop close working relationships with them
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 Month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful Qualified Social Worker candidate will need to hold a Degree or equivalent must be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
