Job Description

Support Worker, Manchester City Council, Adult Short Term Intervention Team - Must have a minimum of 2 years+ UK experience within an Adult Social Work team

Our client is looking for a support Worker with 2 years+ UK experience within an Adults team

The responsibilities will include:

• Supports citizens with learning disabilities in their homes with daily living tasks from personal care, meals, medication, benefit support, banking and setting up direct debits, accommodation support, emotional and community involvement
• Post will require the applicant to travel to various citizens home with in the community
• Applicant will be required to work flexibly on a rota basis including some weekends
• Good written and verbal skills
• Flexible approach
• Able to prioritise work and work to deadlines under pressure
• Able to work as a team
• Liaise appropriately with colleagues and other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• Immediate start
• 3 Month Temporary Contract

The successful candidate will need to hold an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
