Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Manchester Council, Children and Families Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• Support service users and their families to secure positive outcomes in accordance with statutory responsibilities, adhering to these responsibilities in accordance with local and national policies and procedures in the delivery of the aims and objectives of the service
• Work with City Council colleagues, partner agencies and stakeholders to effectively manage and plan for present and future risk situations relating to service users
• Assess and plan person-centred packages to meet the individual needs of service users and promote their independence
• Develop and manage a relationship to support service users and their families in line with statutory obligations and through complex decision making to ensure access to improved future opportunities
• In conjunction with partner agencies and stakeholders effectively assess and plan service users individual needs to ensure positive outcomes for service users in Manchester
• Develop positive and effective solutions in all aspects of service delivery and engagement, focusing on the quality of outcomes for service users
• Engage with stakeholders in the private and public sectors and across local communities to encourage a collaborative and transparent approach that promotes service users needs across a range of existing and new initiatives
• Efficiently maintain accurate and appropriate records in accordance with statutory targets and City Council, local and national policy and procedures to evidence achievement of service targets and improvements in delivery
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
