Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Team Manager, Shropshire Council, Adults Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring their individual and service performance targets are met
• Working with colleagues to ensure the team functions successfully in support of the Council’s corporate and service objectives
• Responsible for performance management at the operational level, ensuring that services collect, collate, and report the required information; identify areas of under-performance and planning and implementing actions to improve performance. Reporting this information and these plans to the Commissioner and Service Manager
• Ensure that service users and carers are consulted and included in service review
• Manage and monitor the budget and report any issues to the Service Manager
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
• Liaise with other professionals
• 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 2 Month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
