Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Bracknell Forest Council, Children With Disabilities Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:


• Highly skilled team working with children who have disabilities and/or complex health needs
• Focus on ensuring that children are at the centre of all we do The multi-professional team includes an Intensive Behaviour Support Specialist and an Occupational Therapist
• Hold a varied caseload of Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children subject to Child Protection Plans, and to provide assessment, care planning, intervention and family support
• Work alongside partner agencies (voluntary & statutory) within the context of the care plan to ensure the provision of appropriate, integrated and effective services
• Promote listening to children at every opportunity; ensuring their views are heard, recorded and acted upon in a timely manner
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
