Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Specialist Practitioner, Stoke on Trent City Council, Children's Safeguarding Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:


• Practitioners will have proven skills and performance evidence through their references and CVs
• Will be skilled in assessing children’s needs
• Undertaking section 47s and for posts in long term teams
• Managing CIN plans. CP plan as well as Court work
• Be enthusiastic and committed to Stoke on Trent’s improvement journey
• Have an understanding of a strengths based, restorative approach and have a reflective and learning approach
• Practitioners will be able to take part in the extensive suite of learning and development on offer
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful Qualified Social Worker candidate will need to hold a Degree or equivalent must be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
