Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Staffordshire Council, Children’s Fostering Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• Contribute flexibly across Staffordshire’s Fostering Service to the recruitment, retention, family finding, supervision and support to Staffordshire’s Fostering households
• Assist as required in the wider work of the Intensive Interventions Team
• Undertake a direct supervisory support role to fostering families and contribute to assessments to ensure young people are restoratively supported and cared for in a way that ensures the young person achieves positive outcomes during and beyond their fostering family life experience
• Work directly with a range of multi-agency professionals to coordinate the long and short-term family-based needs of young people and their families
• Staffordshire has a longstanding record of innovative practice over many years that provides high quality foster families for children
• We are determined that all children in Staffordshire enjoy good outcomes and have recently undertaken a significant investment and commitment to ensure this continues through the introduction of Restorative Practice
• This will have a transformational impact on our culture and professional practice to ensure children and their families remain at the heart of all we do
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 6 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
